Surviving R. Kelly executive producer had a conversation with Sean "Diddy" Combs during which she "begged" him to confess to alleged assaults on his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

On Sunday, June 9, dream hampton's It Was All a Dream premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and shared the stories about hip-hop artists and their fans between 1993 and 1995.

Speaking with Rolling Stone, hampton (who doesn't capitalize her name in the same tradition of Black feminist cultural critic bell hooks) opened up about the project and Combs' current issues.

"There's a commitment to patriarchy in our community, and I wish I could say it's just among men. There are a lot of women who put the P in patriarchy," she said. "I always say, we didn't learn that bitches ain't shit from the B side of Snoop's 'Gin and Juice.' We learned it from the Book of Genesis."

hampton previously worked on Surviving R. Kelly, which unveiled R. Kelly's terrible history of child sexual abuse that later sent him to prison.

Meanwhile, It Was All a Dream included Combs and Notorious B.I.G.'s stories. It was released after Ventura sued -- and later settled -- Combs of sexual assault and violence.

hampton reportedly called the "I'll Be Missing You" singer to ask him to confess his wrongdoings.

"I reached out to him because I know that I'm someone that he'll listen to. And I said, 'Puff, I'm not trying to Olivia Pope you at all, [but] I think that you're done and that it's time to tap out,'" hampton said. "What you need to do, what we need ... What we've needed really, since Mike Tyson raped Desiree Washington, is one of y'all m------------ to just say, 'I did this. And I'm going to spend the rest of my life, and that includes financial restitution, trying to make this right.'"

Per hampton, she begged Combs to take accountability during this conversation and other subsequent messages.

Before CNN released the 2016 video footage of Combs physically abusing Ventura, people reportedly did not take her accusations seriously. hampton said the treatment was "kink shaming and homophobia."

With Combs' issues, there have been talks about the possibility of having Surviving Diddy in the future after the release of Surviving R. Kelly.
