Jennifer Hudson only has a few words when describing her romance with rapper Common.

Talking to People during the 2024 Daytime Emmy Awards, the EGOT-winning singer-host was tight-lipped when asked about her love life.

"Everything is wonderful," Hudson simply said. "That's all you need to know."

Hudson and Common confirmed their relationship when she visited the former on The Jennifer Hudson Show in January 2024.

In an exclusive clip People had obtained before the episode of Common's guesting aired, Hudson pressed the rapper with a rather obvious question.

"Now, we gotta get down to business, Mr. Common. I'm a host and so I have to ask you this question 'cause everybody always wanna know this - are you dating anyone?" the Emmy-winning host asked coyly.

In response, Common said: "I'm in a relationship... with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life. She's smart, she loves God, she has something real down-to-earth about her, she's talented."

Without easily confirming that he's dating Hudson, Common said he wanted his woman to be successful and preferred to be an EGOT winner.

Hudson was the last woman and the youngest artist to become an EGOT winner. In 2022, she finally won her final Tony Award for producing A Strange Loop.

Gushing about his relationship, Common said: "This relationship is a happy place for me. Seeing her happy actually makes me really happy. So, I'm very grateful. I thank God each and every day, and I'm just letting God guide this relationship."

The two have sparked dating rumors since 2022 and have been seen going out multiple times. Hudson crushed rumors then, saying that they're only working professionally.

Common then discussed his relationship with Hudson on Today with Hoda & Jenna.

"We had a little fun," Common said of his relationship with Hudson. "I felt like, why not just be loving and honest with who I am and who we are. And it felt good, it was fun, we had a good time."

The Tony-winning rapper and songwriter also described himself as a "very private" person regarding his personal life and "things that are sacred."
