Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reportedly showed signs they could save their marriage amid divorce buzz.
On the Today show, E! News co-host Justin Sylvester commented on Lopez and Affleck's current relationship and revealed how the pair looked "very taken with each other" when he saw them two weeks before the latest episode aired.
"How do I say this on daytime TV? They looked like they still are enjoying one another. They looked like they were happy at a restaurant. They were chilling," Sylvester said, later adding. "They looked like they were in good form."
The host also expressed his wish that Bennifer would last longer than the public expected, adding that he is "rooting for them."
The "On the Floor" singer made her appearance in Los Angeles for a solo dinner at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant. Although she was not with the Justice League actor, photos from the outing showed her wearing her wedding ring.
Prior to Sylvester's comment, a source told In Touch that the Atlas actress has been working hard to keep their marriage and fight for it amid the rumors. Per the insider, Lopez is desperate to be with Affleck after going through three divorces. Lopez has been married thrice: the first was to Ohani Noa before her weddings to Cris Judd and Marc Anthony. She has also been engaged six times.
"One of the reasons she's still wearing her ring is that she's not given up on her marriage," said the source. "She loves Ben and wants to make their marriage work."
On the other hand, PR expert Mayah Riaz claimed in an interview with The Mirror that the divorce buzz was 100 percent fabricated to distract fans from Lopez's failed projects.
For what it's worth, Lopez was active upon the release of her This Is Me... Now album, The Greatest Love Story Never Told documentary, This Is Me... Now: A Love Story film and This Is Me... Live: The Greatest Hits. All the projects flopped, per reports.
"It's no wonder there's speculation about the divorce rumours surrounding her and Ben could have been created to distract from her career downfall. It is not uncommon for celebrities to face speculation and rumours, particularly during challenging times in their careers," said Riaz.
