During the European leg of her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift took the stage in Madrid on May 29 and 30, drawing a crowd of around 130,000 attendees over the two days.

However, shortly after the concert, reports surfaced online suggesting that thousands may have contracted COVID-19.

Large gatherings like these concerts are often associated with the potential for spreading the virus, as people from various locations, sometimes even different countries, come together in close proximity.

Following the Madrid concerts, a popular Spanish Swifties account conducted a poll among its followers, asking if they had experienced COVID-19 symptoms after attending Swift's shows.

Out of the 10,796 respondents, 35%, or 3,780 individuals, reported falling ill.

Descriptions of symptoms shared by attendees included cough, sore throat, body aches, and fever, with some experiencing severe discomfort and difficulty speaking.

Despite the discomfort, some Swifties humorously regarded their positive COVID tests as a unique souvenir from the Eras Tour, treating it as an unexpected bonus rather than a setback.

The concern over potential COVID spread isn't limited to European cities alone.

In the United States, health experts are warning of a possible "summer wave" of COVID-19 cases, driven by new Omicron subvariants such as the KP.3 variant and JN.1 virus.

These variants now account for over 50% of cases in the U.S., with infection rates projected to rise in several states, including California, Washington D.C., Florida, New Jersey, and Texas.

While some may joke about their COVID experience, the situation underscores the ongoing challenge of managing the spread of the virus, even amid large-scale events like concert tours.

Reports from French Swifties experiencing similar symptoms after Swift's Paris concerts highlight the broader impact of such gatherings.

Concerns have also been raised about potential COVID cases among concertgoers during the U.S. leg of the tour last year, although the extent of their contribution to virus transmission remains unclear.

It was during this tour in Spain that Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and their young girls were present.

The family attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour performance in Spain, showing their support for their friend. Lively, 36, was spotted in the VIP section at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid accompanied by three young girls who seemed to be the couple's eldest daughters: James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4.

Lively, dressed in a white long-sleeve blouse and denim shorts, was captured in fan footage handing one of the kids a refreshment before the show. Additionally, the Haim sisters were also present at the event.
