Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck listed their Beverly Hills mansion, but it was not because of the divorce rumors.

TMZ was the first to report about the couple's decision to sell the $61 million property they have shared together since June 2023. The news fueled the divorce buzz even more, but the sale reportedly has nothing to do with their marriage status.

A source exclusively told People the reason why Lopez and Affleck quietly put their mansion on the market.

"Ben never liked the house. It's too far away from his kids. The house is way too big for her," the insider explained, adding neither of them had been happy with the house.

Amid the sale, Page Six shared photos of the Justice League actor visiting Lopez at the mansion and staying at the property for four hours before leaving. They are reportedly using realtor Santiago Arana from The Agency to sell the property for $65 million.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the couple acquired the mansion after they wed in July 2022. It features "12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage and a pool, plus a sports complex with basketball and pickleball facilities, a gym and a boxing ring."

Previously, insiders said the "On the Floor" singer is residing in the mansion while Affleck is staying at a rental home while working on his film The Accountant 2.

Although the move sparked divorce rumors even more, a source clarified to People that the pair remains on good terms.

"They're still friendly and see each other every few days," said the insider. "It's a good sign they were at the game together."

Affleck and Lopez were spotted together for the last time on June 2 when they watched Samuel's basketball game in Santa Monica, Calif. At the time, they were pictured sharing a kiss on the cheek, which has since been translated by experts as a "friendly gesture."

"His raised and rounded cheeks suggest he is happy to greet his wife, but rather than any compensatory signals, the kiss is super-speedy rather than lingering as he turns his head quickly and pats her back to break before walking off flapping one hand at the press," body language expert Judi James explained.
