Jennifer Lopez's response to reports and claims about her "diva behavior" came to light after several individuals commented about her attitude.

Amid her and Ben Affleck's divorce buzz, Meghan McCain, sources and individuals who previously worked for the singer came forward with shocking stories about the "Love Don't Cost a Thing" songstress. While the title has been around for years now, Lopez once expressed her dismay after receiving the label.

In a newly resurfaced interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2016, Lopez said women always got that label upon "reaching a certain amount of success."

"I've always been fascinated by how much more well-behaved we have to be than men," she told the outlet. "I did get a moniker of being a diva, which I don't deserve. We [as women] are not allowed to have certain opinions or be a certain way, or be passionate."

She shared a similar comment when she spoke with GQ, saying she was "unfairly" labeled years ago.

"Because I was Latin, and I was a woman, and I was Puerto Rican, and they were not giving me the same pass that they gave everybody else at certain times," Lopez explained. "It's hard to remember specifics. I wish I could. But honestly, I don't like to harp on the negative or feel sorry for myself. You know, it, it just is what it is."

Per the Atlas star, the public's perception about her being a diva only pushed her to do more.

Lopez's past responses came out after several sources claimed Lopez is difficult to work with. They supported Meghan McCain's recent revelation about the singer-actress' unpleasant behavior on The View. Most of them highlighted her alleged No Eye Contact rule.

"I have a friend who worked audio on a JLo project, and she had him kicked out. Stopped the whole production and everything because he looked her in the eyes. I have like 15 more stories like this," one said on TikTok, while another wrote, "We received a notice at the front desk at the resort that we were to make zero eye contact with her. Can you believe it!!??"

One posted on X in 2023 that the "Dance Again" singer looked through them backstage on American Idol as if they were not there.

Aside from her No Eye Contact rule, news outlets listed some of the "most ridiculous demands" Lopez made, including an all-white dressing room, food desires and breakfast requirements, to name a few.

On the other hand, McCain alleged Lopez was deeply unpleasant to her when she became a guest on The View. She also noted that the "Dance Again" singer had a reputation for being unkind and unfriendly toward people.

"She just is a deeply unpleasant person... It was just surprising given that people like Kim Kardashian couldn't be more delightful. Also, when you're coming on a show for a 10-minute segment... just fake it 'till you make it for 10 f------ minutes," McCain shared on her "Citizen McCain" podcast.
