Earlier this year, Taylor Swift fans were shocked when Sabrina Carpenter collaborated with Kim Kardashian for her SKIMS brand, and most of them believed she "betrayed" Taylor Swift. More recently, the rising pop star explained her side and revealed that she spoke with her good pal before accepting the offer.

Swift has been entangled in a feud with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star for many years, and many even speculated that her new song "thanK you aIMee" was a shade at the reality star.

On the other hand, the mega-pop superstar has a close friendship with Carpenter as she was her supporting act for some of the dates of the Eras tour.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the "Espresso" songstress revealed that appearing in the SKIMS campaign didn't harm her friendship with the singer, as they have been communicative about it.

"As much as people want to believe you're tuned into every little thing, I'm not because I'm constantly working. In that scenario, I've been very, very communicative with her about that situation," she noted, adding that she loves Swift and will support her "till the end."

"It was no weirdness for me, but I know people will just say things because that's all they have time to do," the musician added.

The recent news comes a few months after fans shared their opinions about Carpenter collaborating with Kardashian, even though Swift and the latter weren't on good terms.

"U betrayed our queen Taylor I thought I were friends like u even opens her eras tour shows," one commented.

"Why skims? I thought you and Tay were friends," another one wrote.

In other updates about the singer, she defended her producer, Jack Antonoff, in the same interview, saying he is "one of the most talented people" she has ever met.

Antonoff, whom Carpenter met a few years ago in New York City, was the producer and co-writer behind her latest song, "Please Please Please."

"When he's in a room, he's able to literally touch every instrument in the room and make it sound magical. He also works very fast, which I really appreciate because I work very fast," she added.

On the other hand, Antonoff praised Carpenter for being one of the most prominent young pop stars, and their collaborative song is such a "statement of expressing yourself."
