Amid the drama of her marital woes with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez is making her itinerary for a summer getaway.
A People magazine source highlighted how when Live Nation announced that the This Is Me...Live tour was canceled, it was mentioned that the star would be taking some time off to bond with her family.
"Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family, and close friends," the statement read.
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time," Lopez said in a statement.
Ironically, reports of Lopez's plan for a summer vacation contrasted her initial statements about being "not a big vacation person."
Despite this, she raved about her time in Italy in a 2023 conversation with Travel + Leisure.
"When I finally went to spend a couple of summers in a row in the south of Italy, I really, really loved it," Lopez said, noting that her trips to Italy have changed her outlook on vacations. "I was like, 'Oh my God, is this what I've been missing my whole life."
For Lopez, she loves being in the water.
"I feel like the water is really something that calms me. I can actually sit still and stare at the ocean and at the sky," she told the publication. "I like just being right there on the coast it's beautiful and eating outside and enjoying the fresh air."
It is not known who Lopez will be during the upcoming summer vacation. Lopez has been subjected to widespread media scrutiny in the past few months following reports of her marriage breakdown with Affleck.
Although she still wears her wedding ring from Affleck in her many public appearances, many insiders have maintained that the two are just putting off the official announcement of their divorce, as Lopez requested.
On the recently concluded Father's Day, Lopez greeted Affleck on Instagram, despite the actor spending the special day with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their kids.
Lopez, Affleck, and Garner attended Samuel's graduation party in California, sparking further speculation on the state of Lopez and Affleck's marriage.
