Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been advised to consider relocating to Nashville and launching a country music album as a potential career reboot.

According to TMZ, industry veteran Jon Peters discussed with Lopez's manager Benny Medina the idea that the pop icon could follow the path of Beyoncé by exploring country music.

TMZ also mentioned that Peters, known for producing Lopez's 1995 film Money Train, expressed confidence that Lopez could transition into the country music genre with support from established figures like Shania Twain, believing she would be warmly received by the community.

Furthermore, TMZ reported Peters' willingness to personally support Lopez's move into country music financially.

This comes after reports of her career being in a decline and her marriage life being in trouble.

Herr latest album, This Is Me... Now was initially anticipated by fans. But for whatever reason, its debut on the Billboard charts fell short of expectations.

This Is Me... Now enters the Billboard 200, the comprehensive ranking of the most consumed albums in the U.S., at No. 38. According to Luminate, which provides music consumption data to Billboard, the album sold 18,701 equivalent units in its first week.

Debuting at No. 38 marks the lowest chart position of Lopez's career for a solo studio album.

Despite its debut position, This Is Me... Now remains a significant artistic expression for Lopez, reflecting her journey and evolution in music, as reported by Forbes.

Jennifer Lopez going country might not be that hard to imagine.

Back in 2022, Lopez gave her song a country twist with a little help.

Lopez and Jimmie Allen unveiled a remix of her song "On My Way" from the Marry Me soundtrack, which debuted earlier this year.

"And you don't believe in 'meant to be'/But somehow you were meant for me," Allen sings in his verse.

For Allen, the release marks a full-circle moment since his appearance on American Idol in 2011, where Lopez served as a judge alongside Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.

"I met @JLo for the first time In 2010 as a contestant on @AmericanIdol. soon as I heard 'I'm Real,' I told myself one day we would do a song together and It happened," Allen tweeted at the time. "I'm honored to be a part of the reimagined version of 'On My Way.'"
