Taylor Swift just held her only Eras Tour concert in Cardiff. Prior to the concert, many fans struggled to get to the venue because of heavy traffic and delays at various train stations.

Following her shows in Liverpool and Edinburgh, the musician went to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to perform her sold-out show to her Welsh fans.

Although some fans waited at the venue early, not everyone arrived without a hassle because they were warned to "expect delays" on the roads on Tuesday.

Traffic Wales advised fans to "allow extra time" before going to the venue, especially on the M4. They were also told to use park and ride facilities because main roads across the city have been closed for the concert from 3 p.m. until midnight.

Heavy traffic started ahead of the concert and continued for the next few hours. In addition, train cancellations occurred after engineering equipment blocked one of the main lines in South Wales, which delayed some trips for a few hours.

The Rhymney Line had been cleared at 11 a.m. that day.

"Due to a piece of engineering equipment breaking down overnight at heath High Level the Rhymney line is currently blocked in both directions. Staff on site are awaiting a part to be delivered so cancellations will continue into the morning," a spokesperson for Transport of Wales said in a statement to Wales Online.

Swift's concert in Cardiff also saw a slight change. Many people noticed that the venue's roof had been closed, meaning there could be no fireworks at the event.

Fans took to social media to express excitement as they witnessed the show in complete darkness.

Swift's United Kingdom leg has yet to conclude as she's set to perform in London for the finale of her tour in the country.

In other updates, the musician performed her 100th show in Liverpool last week, during which she confirmed that her long-running tour will end in December of this year.

"The tour is going to end in December. Like, that's it," she told the crowd. Swift's final concerts for her massive Eras Tour will be at the BC Place in Vancouver, BC, from December 6 to 8, 2024. More information about her upcoming shows is available on her official website.
