Taylor Swift delighted fans at her Cardiff gig by kicking off the show by speaking Welsh and tweaking one of her songs on Tuesday evening.
The 34-year-old singer is currently on the UK leg of her Eras tour, with her latest concert held at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, where she performed to an impressive crowd of 70,000.
Swift began the show by warmly welcoming her fans in Welsh, saying, "Croeso i'r daith Eras!" which translates to "Welcome to the Eras Tour."

During her performance of the breakup anthem "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," she added a local flair by handing her microphone to a dancer who exclaimed "Ych-a-fi," a Welsh expression used to express disgust.
She later admired the audience, saying, "This crowd in Cardiff is one for the books. This crowd is different, you're another level!"

On Swift's Cardiff performance, she also stunned the crowd with a guitar mashup on Scooter Braun's birthday, prompting cheers as she sang, "Did you think I wouldn't hear all the things you said about me?"
Addressing the audience during her acoustic set, Swift remarked, "I spend a lot of my time trying to plan these things and figure out what you might like. Basically, the loudness of you singing lets me know if I did it correctly."
She seamlessly transitioned from "I Forgot That You Existed" into "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things," incorporating a playful twist during the bridge where she sang, "'Cause forgiveness is a nice thing to do," from her "Reputation" album.

Swift paused, let out a big laugh, and held her hands over her head, sending the crowd into a roaring frenzy.
The singer-songwriter has been outspoken about reclaiming ownership of her music, particularly her first six albums, after Scooter Braun's company acquired them.
Following advice from Kelly Clarkson, Swift took decisive action to re-record her songs, ensuring her original versions remain hers and are not played on streaming services. Braun sold the masters to Shamrock Holdings in 2019 for $300 million.
This comes after reports of Swifties making a significant change ahead of the Cardiff show: the stadium roof will remain closed, meaning no fireworks at the end of Taylor's performance. Fans are pleased as they anticipate a better visual experience in darkness, enhanced by wristbands and lights.
On X/Twitter, one fan shared, "Roof is closed. No fireworks. But show will be in the dark I think!" Another replied, "We should be getting full effect of the wristbands tonight then."
