Although Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce came from two separate fields before they linked up for their mega romance, they are now expected to come together at specific events where their careers intersect - especially in advertising.
The NFL star is expected to be one of the guests at the 2024 Cannes Lions Festival, home to the world's most prestigious advertising awards.
Stagwell CEO Mark Penn spoke to Page Six about Swift and Kelce's possible attendance.
Responding to the question of who the most interesting people are in the advertising mecca that he has enjoyed listening to the most, Kelce's name came up along with other sports giants like Carmelo Anthony and Sue Bird.
"We are having Travis Kelce here [Thursday] and it's going to be a sell-out. People can speculate if he's bringing somebody," Penn teased.
When asked if Penn thinks Kelce would bring Swift with him, he had this to say: "I doubt it, but all speculation is good in marketing."
Notably, Taylor Swift is currently enjoying a brief vacation, starting on Thursday, June 20, 2024. However, her schedule will soon pick up as she prepares to take the stage for three consecutive days at Wembley Stadium in London from June 21 to 23, 2024. Prior to her upcoming performances in London, Swift recently dazzled audiences with her last show at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on June 18, 2024, followed by three memorable nights at Anfield in Liverpool.
While the likelihood of Swift's attendance at the Cannes Lions is still up in the air, it is important to note that Swift has flown from continent to continent just to attend some of Kelce's events.
In February 2024, Swift flew from Japan to Las Vegas to watch his boyfriend win his third NFL Championship. Although things have changed since then, Swift could still arrive at the last minute, as a flight from London to France would only take her approximately 2 hours.
Swift's advertising power is perhaps one of the strongest in the market today, considering that every time her name is attached to something, it becomes marketable.
Swift has collaborated with various brands in the past. Some were from Apple Music, Capital One, Target, Diet Coke, DirectTV, AT&T, Macy's, Keds, and more!
