Jennifer Lopez isn't taking her split from husband Ben Affleck lightly, according to insiders close to the celebrity power couple. Once they truly go their separate ways, the singer is allegedly going to make sure Affleck will regret this.
Sources revealed to RadarOnline.com that Lopez is determined to exact revenge by focusing intensely on refining her famously fit physique into an even more irresistible form that Ben won't be able to resist.
"She's going turbo on the fitness and beauty regime, she wants to look better than ever so Ben sees what he's missing," said a source close to the 54-year-old Marry Me actress.
For months now, rumors have it that her and the 51-year-old Gone Girl star reportedly fizzled out earlier this spring.
Throughout their nearly two-year marriage, the dedicated Hustlers star, known for her rigorous diet and exercise routines, surprised fans when she was seen accompanying her fast-food-loving husband on drive-through outings.
The source added that she let herself go when she and Affleck's relationship was still good, all to prove that she's the woman for him.
"She ate junk food with him just to show she could be the gal he wanted. Ben always criticized her for her over-the-top workout routine, so she slowed down on that too and ended up really resenting him for it."
"So, now she's up every morning doing lunges and squats, sweating her butt off at the gym. She's going to use this summer to get in the best shape of her life with a hyper diet of lean protein and salads and no junk whatsoever," added an insider.
The accomplished songstress is also considering a series of cosmetic procedures, according to an insider.
"The idea of being back on the dating scene at her age has got her pretty freaked out. There's so much that docs can do these days, so why not get some help?," the insider shared.
Maybe she's starting now, showing how much she can enjoy herself without her husband in the first place.
Lopez is currently enjoying the sunshine abroad, according to People magazine.
The singer and "Atlas" star was captured on Tuesday, June 18, beaming while soaking up the sun on a boat in Italy. She flaunted her abs in a cream-colored bandeau top paired with multicolored shorts and elegant gold peep-toe heels.
During her outing, Lopez, who was without her husband Ben Affleck, carried a Christian Dior Hat Basket Bag and completed her look with stylish gold sunglasses. She was seen socializing with others on the water, enjoying the day to the fullest.
