Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams share a very genuine friendship. Not only are they collaborators, but they also hang out from time to time. More recently, the singer recalled one incident at the pop star's $50 million apartment in New York City as she bravely extinguished a fire.

The musician recently spoke with Billboard, and she revealed that a candle toppled over while they were having a dinner party at the pop singer's apartment.

"She was such a legend - I don't know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do," Abrams said of her good friend.

The incident happened six months ago when they were having dinner when they heard a candle falling over from a distance. Swift initially thought it was just the sound of one of her cats jumping around the house.

The following day, they were shocked to see that the kitchen had been set on fire, and the "Cruel Summer" songstress herself took matters into her own hands and extinguished the flames.

"We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks," Abrams added.

Although it was an unfortunate incident, the singer said something great happened the night before as it was when they wrote the song "Us," a song included on her new album The Secret of Us.

She said they were listening to instrumentals created by Aaron Dessner at the time, and "something caught our ear at the same time very hard and fast."

They immediately started writing the song on the piano, and she fantasized about the kind of song she had heard as a kid.

It was also the same night when Swift let Abrams hear a few songs from her then-unreleased record, The Tortured Poets Department.

She recalled dancing through the night to the song "But Daddy, I Love Him," and she laid down on the floor upon hearing "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived."

In other updates, Gracie Abrams will release her new album, The Secret of Us, on Friday. It will feature 13 new songs, including a collaboration with Taylor Swift.

"We had real, true fun writing this album. There were also the occasional tears... The music is yours in basically five seconds and we cannot wait. I. Love. You.," the singer said in a previous announcement.
