Amid the excitement of Lana Del Rey's highly anticipated stadium concert, fans were disappointed when they had to evacuate the venue due to sudden thunderstorms and heavy rain.

The 38-year-old singer was preparing to take the stage at Fenway Park in Boston on Thursday evening. However, unforeseen weather conditions caused significant delays to the show. Originally scheduled to commence at 8:30 PM, the concert was inevitably postponed until 10:30 PM.

As concergoers exited the stadium's field, a message flashed across the screens alerting them to the weather delay.

The notice stated, "In anticipation of adverse weather, the evening's events will be postponed."

"All fans must leave the field seating and open air seating sections and seek shelter inside the stadium concourse immediately."

"Please take time to assemble all members of your party and calmly proceed inside the stadium concourse."

Following the evacuation of fans, Fenway Park officials warned against re-entry before granting permission for them to return.

Del Rey reached out to her fans on Instagram to gather their input on potentially delaying the concert or rescheduling it.

"Do you want a one hour show tonight if it's possible and the lightning stops? As opposed to a two hour show on Saturday," the singer asked.

The fans then agreed to the abbreviated performance after the singer graced the stage a couple of hours past the scheduled time.

Additionally, the "Young and Beautiful" singer took to her Instagram Story to provide a video explanation for the show's delay.

Per Newsweek, Del Rey said, "Hi guys, so I'm down here at the bottom of Fenway. I have everyone here, they just cleared the stage."

"So, every time the lightning strikes we have to wait 20 minutes and it just keeps striking," the "Blue Jeans" singer told her followers.

"So what we were hoping for was to fill the room back up by 10 o'clock and at least do an hour-long show. That's what we're hoping for bare minimum. Worst case scenario, we reschedule for Saturday. I don't know, I'm crossing my fingers and I'm down here with all the girls just hoping."

Luckily, Del Rey still entertained the audience with a great performance, playing a total of 15 songs for the crowd's enjoyment.

Per Stereo Gum, the highlight of the night was when the singer surprised everyone by inviting special guests, including Quavo, Stephen Sanchez, and Mason Ramsey, to join her on stage.
