Jennifer Lopez has decided to take a moment for herself and perhaps think about her next moves, revealed a relationship expert, amid reports of marital issues with Ben Affleck.
This week, the "Get Right" went on a trip to Italy for some personal time away from her husband.
According to relationship expert Louella Alderson, Lopez's solo trip to Italy is proof that there are underlying issues within her marriage to Affleck.
Alderson told The Mirror, "They seem to have spent a lot more time apart recently, with [Affleck] even moving out of their shared home and back into his own place."
Lopez's trip also implies these conflicts within their marriage that they may be a struggle to address.
"It's possible that [Lopez's] trip to Italy is allowing her some time and space to reflect on her marriage and what she wants for her future," Alderson speculated.
The expert stated that the "On the Floor" hitmaker is probably contemplating "her next steps" since Lopez is a "strategic and independent woman."
After all, according to the Daily Mail, a source also disclosed that Lopez has reached a point of being no longer interested in salvaging their relationship.
"[Lopez] has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it's not getting any better, it's worse. [Affleck] is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer."

However, Alderson pointed out that Affleck's choice to remain back in the US indicates a shift toward their individual pursuits for the time being. She views the Maid In Manhattan actress' decision to take a solo vacation as a positive move.
The expert emphasized the importance of spending time apart from a lover explaining that taking a break can promote personal growth and introspection, ultimately strengthening the relationship between partners as time progresses.
Further elaborating on this notion, Alderson emphasized that the physical distance between people creates a void that allows for longing and nostalgia to blossom, leading to heightened gratitude for the shared moments when reunited.
This comes amid speculation about Lopez and Affleck's split following the former's solo appearance at the Met Gala in May 2024.
Rumors have surfaced that the duo has parted ways and decided to sell their luxurious Beverly Hills estate valued at $60 million.
It has also been revealed that Affleck has decided to live in a separate home away from Lopez, whom he married in 2022, and has been spotted without his wedding ring on several occasions.
