Kelsea Ballerini is one of the most in-demand artists within the country music scene, which is why she constantly sells out venues whenever she performs on tour. Now, the singer revealed some of the things that she requires backstage to make her shows successful.

Speaking on Taste of Country Nights With Evan Paul, the musician gave insight into her touring life by sharing the things that she wants to see backstage whenever she's performing a series of concerts.

First, the singer said she wanted to have a clear headspace before taking the stage. She then revealed that she eats Chomps, 100% grass-fed meat sticks.

"They're like a boujie Slim-Jim. They're delicious. And it's quick protein. Put 'em in your bag and in your purse. I eat probably four a week," she said.

She then looked back at her early days of touring, saying in the past, she would take a tequila shot with her band before going on stage, but things are different these days.

"I have tea and honey and a steamer and a warm-up. So it's not as sexy as it used to be. But I take better care of myself, so that's good," she added.

In other updates about the singer, the musician renewed her contract with Black River Entertainment earlier this year. Although she became massive in 2023, she still opted to work with the independent company because they always handled her music after signing with them for ten years.

"They've never wavered in respecting my vision as an artist, offering me the freedom to be creative and push boundaries. We share our wins and successes like family, and our renewed agreement reflects just that," she said.

After her divorce last year, Ballerini released an EP titled Rolling Up the Welcome Mat. The singer is likely to release a new album later this year, as she told People magazine that half of her project is already in mixing while the other half is finishing vocals.

"We're really close to being done. And the first single is right around the corner," she teased.

Regarding what it would sound like, the musician said she was nervous about following up on her previous EP because it changed her life and career, but her new album would contain songs inspired by her adult life while still feeling like a kid.
