An individual staying at the Hamptons hotel made the call to alert authorities about Justin Timberlake's behavior, leading to his unexpected DWI arrest following a dinner outing.

An anonymous source from the American Hotel in Sag Harbor reportedly contacted law enforcement to alert them about a potential situation involving the NSYNC star.

Despite the mystery surrounding the complete identity of the informant, they reportedly expressed concerns that Timberlake had consumed a substantial amount of alcohol and might be contemplating driving back to his place.

An insider told Page Six, "They said [Timberlake] was having a lot of drinks, and they told the cop to watch him if he is going to drive."

The insider is said to be a "well-connected Southampton restaurateur."

In a twist of events, there was an unexpected discovery that the "Cry Me A River" singer had an encounter with law enforcement where he was initially stopped and released, only to be detained shortly after for the second time on Tuesday morning.

Details from a local law enforcement source revealed that Timberlake briefly interacted with Officer Michael Arkinson and was given a warning after leaving the American Hotel.

The same source revealed, "He was stopped and advised not to drive. The officer didn't recognize him; he's a young guy. And he still gave Justin a break, because he didn't pose an immediate danger."

In the moments that followed, the "SexyBack" singer was stopped by Officer Atkinson once more. He was caught running a stop sign and veering his 2025 BMW into oncoming traffic this time.

"What a dumb---," the source described Jessica Biel's husband. "I am thinking he could afford a driver. How's that for entitlement?"

According to recent reports, Officer Atkinson didn't know or recognize the global pop star at all. The 23-year-old law enforcement made an impression on the residents of The Hamptons as the "Sag Harbor Nazi" and "little redheaded dip----."

Timberlake faced legal troubles after being charged with driving under the influence and two additional traffic infractions on Tuesday, June 18, morning. The charges included failure to comply with a stop sign and drifting out of his designated lane on the road.

Following the singer's recent arrest, his lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., has pledged to strongly contest the three DWI charges brought against him.

"We look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have a lot to say at the appropriate time."
