Bob Dylan just kicked off the Outlaw Music Festival Tour with several artists this year in Charlotte, NC. Concertgoers expected him to play some of the biggest songs from his decades-old catalog, but many were surprised when he opted to leave out the classics from his setlist, which divided fans on social media.

The legendary singer has been snubbing his classic songs since his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour, and he continued this habit on his current tour as he opted to perform deep cuts and modern material to leave out his big hits.

One fan shared their experience, saying they weren't familiar with the songs he performed. They wrote, "I wish someone had tweeted the set list when I saw Bob Dylan in concert because I did not know a single song."

Another expressed frustration as they posted, "the new bob dylan set list goodbye."

Not everyone was against the musician's decision to switch up his setlist as one wrote, "I have decided to stan Bob Dylan purely on the principle that I think every musician should be playing a bunch of random s*** that nobody asked for on every tour forever."

"Amazing. The set lists so far on this Dylan tour have been wild and fantastic! Even at 83, Bob Dylan is still able to exceed expectations and be brilliant. I love that he's playing more harmonica again!" Another one added.

As of this writing, Bob Dylan has yet to address the recent controversy surrounding his setlist.

In other updates, Willie Nelson was supposed to appear on the first few dates of the tour, but he had to cancel his appearance at the last minute because of his health. Doctors advised the musician to rest and recover from his undisclosed illness, but he's expected to return later this month.
