Camila Cabello has entered her new music era. After years of writing her music, the singer has revealed that Taylor Swift was among the people who helped her get out of a "creative rut" as she received heartwarming advice back when she was still with Fifth Harmony.

In a recent interview with Taylen Biggs, the young interviewer asked the singer if there was one artist who gave her advice that she would never forget.

Cabello immediately answered Swift as she recalled their first interaction when she was only a teenager.

"I was maybe about 16 or 17 when I met one of my songwriting heroes, Taylor Swift," she said, explaining that she was still with Fifth Harmony when they attended the VMAs.

The pop star saw Swift sitting with Lorde in the audience and knew she had to interact with them because she was such a big fan.

"I have to go up to both of them and I have to tell them I love them," she recalled, adding that both stars are sweet.

Coincidentally, it was around the same time Cabello started dabbling into songwriting. However, she had difficulty writing her music because of a "creative rut," she knew she had to ask Swift for advice that evening.

"I was like 'hey, what would you say if you're having a lot of self-doubt and you feel a little stuck,'" she remembered asking, to which the "Tortured Poets Department" songstress replied: "You know what, when that happens to me, just keep writing through it, you just gotta keep writing."

In other updates, it appears that Swift wasn't the only iconic artist who inspired Cabello. She also revealed during Complex's intimate dinner at L'Ecrin Plage during Cannes Lions in France that Madonna was also her inspiration, but this time, in terms of style.

Many fans applauded Cabello for her hair transformation. Although she's been known for having dark hair throughout her career, she now opted to go blonde.

"I learned how exciting that is from people like Madonna or David Bowie... Always keep it fresh for people," she explained.

Camila Cabello's new album, C, XOXO, will be released on major streaming platforms on June 28, 2024. It will feature collaborations with Drake, the City Girls, and more.
