Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose's divorce battle has just gotten uglier.

The proceedings started after Cyrus filed for divorce from his estranged wife on May 22, submitting the documents quietly in Nashville. He cited "irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct" as the reasons behind the filing.

In the latest turn of events, the court documents obtained by In Touch confirmed that Firerose issued a series of subpoenas through her legal team to demand copies of Cyrus' private text messages. The subpoenas were reportedly fired off to Adkins Entertainment and Nick Meinema at Action Entertainment Collaborative.

Through the filing, representatives from the entertainment are instructed to appear for the hearing in July and bring the contracts of agreements related to the "New Day" singer.

Firerose's team made the move amid her accusations about Cyrus interfering with her career and leaving her with nothing as soon as he filed for an annulment.

In addition to vacating the home, Firerose also hit back at Cyrus, claiming she used his credit cards for unauthorized transactions.

"Wife should be able to continue to use the American Express credit card to maintain the status quo of the marriage and should be able to use the American Express credit card for her personal expenses, household expenses, and attorney's fees without depleting her separate assets," her lawyer said.

On the other hand, In Touch also released a report revealing Cyrus' claims about Firerose abusing him during their relationship. She has since denied the allegations.

"If [Billy Ray] was indeed as abusive as [Firerose] claims, it is mindboggling to try and explain why, upon vacating [Billy Ray's] premarital residence, [Firerose] would leave [Billy Ray] a handwritten note and then send him a text message stating in her word, 'I am sorry' and 'please give me a chance to make this right. I can explain everything but i need you on my side,'" said Cyrus' lawyer.

On the other hand, Firerose's representative responded, "[Billy Ray's] story keeps evolving and this filing is simply another abusive tactic to distract away from the serious, true allegations brought against him and backed by an abundance of evidence."

Cyrus and Firerose's divorce proceedings continue.
