Sources told The Sun that music icon Celine Dion is planning to stage her comeback to the stage at the 2024 Paris Olympics amid her ongoing treatment for Stiff Person Syndrome.

"Celine has made no secret of her desire to make it back to the stage, and Paris would be the perfect opportunity for her to do that," the source added. "Unlike other offers which are full shows, making an appearance at the opening ceremony would see Celine performing just one song."

The insider also noted that there are also talks that Dion might stage her Las Vegas residency.

"The formal offer to perform was made earlier this year, and Celine is working around the clock to make it happen. She's made huge leaps and is getting stronger every day, but she's not out of the woods yet," the source confirmed. "Everyone has their fingers crossed it is able to happen. It will be quite the moment."

The 2024 Paris Olympics organizers also spoke to The Sun, noting a possible surprise.

"We want to ensure the opening ceremony is full of beautiful surprises. You'll have to wait until July 26," the organizers told the outlet.

Dion has recently opened up about her Stiff Person Syndrome in an interview with Today's Hoda Kotb, even teasing the possibility of performing near the Eiffel Tower.

"I've chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again," Dion said at the time.

After experiencing the symptoms of her Stiff Person Syndrome, Dion confessed to Kotb that she had to make necessary adjustments to her voice so that she could perform.

"I went on stage and I started to sound more nasal," she remembered one of her previous performances. "I could say, 'It's a little cold starting' or 'It's the third show in a row.' 'You're working too hard.' But the thing is, it was different. I started to feel like the body was more rigid."

She also revealed that she had to sing at a different vocal register to compensate.

"We lowered the songs a little bit with the keys," Dion shared. "I did my very best because my fans accepted my invitation and I did not know what to tell them. 'I will do my best tonight?' No. You're going to give your all or you don't come at all."
