Aaron Carter's twin sister, Angel, recently appeared on a podcast where she shared tragic information about her personal life, saying she knew her brother would die as he started struggling with drugs ever since they were kids.

Angel recalled devastating stories surrounding her brother Aaron and older sister Leslie's death, who both suffered from drug addiction during an episode of the Squeeze podcast.

She began reflecting on Leslie's passing, saying her death blindsided her as she didn't see it coming, and she was only 23 years old at the time.

However, it was a different scenario for her twin brother because, at the time, she was already in therapy and "preparing for Aaron's death."

"I thought he was going to die. I feared it my entire 20s. I knew this day was going to come and I think he knew it too," she said.

Angel dedicated her life to helping her brother stop his addiction, but he couldn't help himself, which led to him pushing her away despite her clear intentions.

She then shared a story from 2019 when the musician allegedly had an episode of psychosis after being diagnosed with bipolar and schizophrenia disorders, saying he told her his thoughts of killing babies and how he amassed several firearms in days.

Angel and Nick Carter did their best to protect themselves and filed a restraining order against their sibling.

"I had to protect him from himself," Angel said while getting emotional.

Later in the episode, she blamed her brother's shortcomings on those who exploited and used him since the beginning of his career at the young age of 9.

"I couldn't save him... It wasn't my responsibility to save him but I tried," she said.

Angel gave more details about Aaron's addiction, saying he started using marijuana when he was 12, and when their parents got divorced, he began to experiment with hard drugs like ecstasy, but she didn't know about it until years later.

Unfortunately, Aaron Carter passed away on November 5, 2022. He was found dead in the bathtub of his home in Lancaster, California. He was 34 years old.

Initially, his cause of death remained private, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later stated that he died accidentally due to drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam.
