People obtained legal documents showing that Jane Doe sued American DJ and producer Diplo for revenge porn.
Formally known as Thomas Wesley Pentz, the renowned DJ was accused of having an "intimate" relationship with a woman from 2016 to 2023. In the filing, Doe claimed that Pentz had sent explicit photos and videos of her to other people.
Doe further claimed that between 2018 and 2023, Pentz filmed their numerous sexual encounters without her consent and "disclosed and/or distributed the images and videos to third parties through text messaging and Snapchat."
The filing revealed that Doe and Diplo had begun talking to each other on Snapchat in April 2016 when she was still 21 years old. They then exchanged "pornographic" images for three months between April and June 2016 before they met up in a New York hotel in June 2016.
Doe alleged that they had an "intimate" relationship with sexual encounters from June 2016 until October 2023. At that period, Doe had informed Pentz that she "did not want Defendant Diplo recording them engaging in sexual activities without her explicit consent nor did she want him to distribute images and/or videos to third parties and never gave him consent to do so."

Although, at one point, she had permitted Pentz to film their sexual encounters, no permission to distribute it was given.
In November 2023, Doe claimed in the filing that she was contacted by someone else for the first time and discovered that they possessed videos and photos of her having sex with Pentz. She also discovered that the third party obtained the material in October 2018.
"Diplo's actions represent a severe abuse of power and a blatant disregard for human dignity. It is imperative that we, as a society, condemn such actions and hold perpetrators accountable," Jane Doe's legal camp said in a statement. "Our brave client's story is one of Diplo's many worst-kept secrets, and the filing this case is her first step at forging a path to civil justice."
Meanwhile, the New York Police District issued a statement confirming a criminal complaint on file for Pentz that NYPD detectives are investigating.
As of this writing, Pentz has yet to react to or comment on the lawsuit.
