SZA was among the headliners of this year's Glastonbury Music Festival, but many fans took to social media to share their devastation after the musician only amassed a small crowd compared to Coldplay and Dua Lipa, who both had jampacked crowds at their Pyramid Stage shows.

According to the Daily Mirror, SZA was the headliner for Sunday evening at the Worthy Farm. Before she even took the stage, many people noticed that the songwriter had a smaller crowd, even during her performance.

Viewers who watched the show via livestream were also disappointed, as they witnessed parts of the audience area empty.

"Weird, she have a big hit but maybe not enough. Is SZA a local act then??" one wrote.

"Sunday night headline acts should be hard hitting or legends that everyone can sing to. Poor choice," one added.

"That's a real shame because SZA's a genuine terrific, interesting artist. Probably not Sunday night at Glasto material though," another one wrote.

In addition to having a lesser audience during her set, the R&B singer's performance was also met with technical difficulties.

According to NME, the microphone sounded muffled and muddy during the first 30 minutes of her show, making some parts of her songs inaudible.

The issues were later fixed as her voice sounded clearer, but there were moments when it would go back to sounding bad.

"justice for sza!! what have glastonbury done to her mic to make her vocals sound this way, this is excruciating," one wrote.

"so sad seeing sza get backlash about her mic not working, people not knowing of her and her crowd being small at glasto," another added.

As of this writing, SZA has yet to address the issues she faced on social media.

Glastonbury is one of the biggest music festivals in the world, with over 200,000 attendees every year. It was recently reported that fans were frustrated by overcrowding at small stages.

This issue resulted in organizers closing off some areas to prevent crowd issues, and one musical act's performance was cut short for attendees' safety.

Among the performers who performed at smaller stages was Charli XCX at Levels on Friday evening. Fans expressed their concern on social media, saying the lines to watch her DJ set were longer than the queue to get into the festival grounds.
