In Touch Weekly, sources have revealed that 50 Cent is suing Power 106 Host Bryhana Monegain for harassment. Monegain was the same woman who had demanded the rapper to be deposed for failing to appear in a previously set deposition for her case.

Infamously, Monegain was on the receiving end of 50 Cent's microphone when he threw it on the crowd at one of his concerts.

In a filing obtained by the outlet, 50 Cent's legal camp has filed a countersuit against Monegain.

"[Bryhana] has been on a rush agenda to unreasonably demand all depositions and discovery be fully completed within the first three months since serving the operative complaint," 50 Cent's lawyers said in the filing. "[50] was only served with the operative complaint approximately two months ago (April 16, 2024), has an extremely busy schedule with contractual commitments, events and projects, resides in Texas, and has made reasonable and good-faith efforts to provide an in-person deposition date in Los Angeles."

Lawyers for the Grammy-winning rapper also argued that their client had already provided a date in September 2024 to face the court in a deposition.

"Thus, for plaintiff to start requesting an in-person deposition date for Defendant Jackson one day after substituted service is nothing more than a means of harassment and an attempt to obtain a tactical advantage; it has no relation to legitimate needs of this litigation beyond Plaintiff's desire for a quick settlement," the lawyer asserted.

In the same filing, 50 Cent's lawyer claimed that Monegain refused to travel back to California with a paid fare from the sued party for a neuro-psych exam even though she was just in California for her deposition.

"[Bryhana's] extremely early efforts to obtain [50 Cent's] deposition constitute an abusive litigation tactic designed to put pressure on Defendant G-Unit Touring and [50 Cent]," the filing said, adding that the rapper asked Monegain's motion to be denied completely.

In June 2024, In Touch Weekly obtained legal documents saying that 50 Cent has not given an available date for deposition despite her numerous requests. Monegain gave the rapper a tentative date of June 13, 2024, but the deposition did not occur.

"Due to the pendency of the August 5, 2024, mediation date, an Order compelling [50] to sit for deposition and provide testimony must be made forthwith," the document said.

Although 50 Cent did not intend to hurt anyone with the microphone, he accidentally hit the host, resulting in extreme bodily injuries to both her forehead and just above her right eyebrow and hospitalization. Since then, 50 Cent's lawyer has maintained his client's innocence.
