Gwen Stefani will reprise her role as a coach on The Voice season 26, along with two fresh faces joining the judging panel and one familiar face making a comeback.

The 54-year-old "Hollaback Girl" singer has an extensive history as a coach on The Voice, having participated in seasons 7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22, and 24.

NBC revealed the new lineup for season 26, which includes the return of Stefani with the show promising a season of surprises and new dynamics as the cast shake-up guarantees an engaging and entertaining competition.

New additions to Stefani's team include Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé. They join longtime coach Reba McEntire, who has been part of the show since season 24.

Since Stefani left, there has been a new Queen Bee on the set.

McEntire has risen as the reigning queen, causing anticipation for a potential showdown since Stefani is known for her alleged diva attitude. With the No Doubt front woman also known for her strong personality, tension breeds as everyone anticipates a possible clash of egos.

According to a Life & Style magazine source, "During the last season [McEntire] really found her groove and an in with the bosses, her fellow coaches and the audience and became a behind-the-scenes mentor herself, but don't let that maternal side fool you."

"She's extremely competitive and bossy and tends to dominate over her peers and associates."

The insider went on to say that there are indications that the 69-year-old country icon might be happy to have Stefani return to the show, flashing her signature grin; however, "she's also letting [Stefani] know that she's in charge."

The "Just A Girl" singer is now without her husband Blake Shelton, who was also on the show and left after several years, by her side for protection. Those in their circle speculate that things may take a controversial turn since Stefani has an alleged history of seeking the spotlight and is anticipated to continue in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, absent from the lineup for season 25 are the former coaches John Legend, Chance The Rapper, and Dan + Shay, who previously served on the panel alongside the seasoned McEntire.

Stefani revealed her decision to step away from her iconic red chair on season 25 of The Voice in December 2023 saying she will be refocusing her attention on her music career.

The blonde beauty said during the announcement, "I've finally landed in that place where I'm obsessed, where I can't stop listening, so I feel like I'm somewhere."

"I'm just trying to find like little pockets of time to make music and it still never gets old. It's still so exciting and magical."

It's still best to take the outlet's report with a grain of salt.
