As Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage faces challenges, the couple seeks legal counsel and addresses financial concerns related to their joint business endeavors.
Reports suggest that the 54-year-old carefully manages her public image to show responsible financial stewardship amid the dissolution of brand partnerships.
A source elaborated to Radar Online that following the end of the Bennifer 2.0 era, the brand associated with the couple may be facing a potential decline.
"The majority of the plans depended on them going in together, so now there are contracts that need to be dissolved."
They said, "That's never easy and requires a ton of back-and-forth with lawyers because, of course, everyone wants to get paid."
Filming for their joint movie venture, Unstoppable has wrapped up. Affleck produced the project, which Lopez starred in.
The duo now finds themselves awkward as they prepare to publicize the Amazon movie in the upcoming months.
The source who spoke to the outlet said, "Teaming up to promote it seems unlikely. They want to be professional about it. They still believe in it and don't want to see it fail, but it's an awkward position."
In Touch Weekly has also revealed that the Hollywood power couple has a lot of work ahead of them to sort through their challenges.
"They've sunk a fortune into building up this joint brand. So much time and money has been spent preparing all these different projects that they were both so gung-ho on just a few months ago, and now it's pretty much all down the drain because everything was based on their Bennifer brand."
Moreover, insiders reveal that the upcoming Unstoppable movie is just one of many collaborative creative projects Lopez and Affleck had in the works.
"They were privately funding certain projects they really believed in and had all kinds of things lined up, and now they're having to pull out, which is letting a lot of people down and leaving a ton of money on the table."
According to the report, the "Jenny from the Block" singer had been actively involved in developing a line of homeware products. However, the project has come to a halt due to unforeseen circumstances.
"So many investments are now having to be dissolved, and that's a big part of why this is taking so long, despite the fact that it's very much over."
There was also reportedly a time when the Atlas actress believed that she and Affleck had the potential to become a power couple in Hollywood. The source said the idea of their relationship achieving immense success in the industry seemed within reach for her.
However, they are now choosing to break up, potentially missing out on significant opportunities.
The source explained, "And to be fair they really could have been if they'd stuck together. But now they're walking away from billions, or so [Lopez's] saying."
