Earlier this year, Vanessa Hudgens confirmed that she was expecting her first child, and over the past few days, reports circulated that the singer had already given birth.
The singer eventually confirmed the news, but she expressed her disappointment because the information had been leaked before she even announced it.
Taking to her official Instagram account, the High School Musical star wrote: "We're disappointed that our family's privacy was disrespected and exploited during this very special time due to the greed of a long lens camera feeding the media."
She later gave an update about her recent birth, adding, "Despite all of that, mom, dad, and baby are happy and healthy."

The recent news comes after photos of the singer circulated online showing her leaving a hospital in Santa Monica, CA, while in a wheelchair.
In the images, Hudgens is wearing all-black and a blue sweater as she holds her baby. A nurse assists her and her husband, Cole Tucker.
The actress took a while before announcing her pregnancy, but she shocked the public when she attended the 2024 Oscars with a baby bump.
In a previous interview with E! News the musician revealed that she wanted her future children to see her body of work as an actress.
"I'll show my kids all my work... That's why I chose things along the way in my career. I wanted to make sure that when I did have kids, there would be something for them to watch at every age," she said.
On the other hand, her former co-star and ex-boyfriend, Zac Efron, whom she dated from 2005 to 2010 after meeting on High School Musical, reacted to her pregnancy, saying he's excited about her and Ashley Tisdale, who also announced her pregnancy in March.
"Oh they're going to be the best moms ever... Those girls, are you kidding me? Oh my gosh," he said in an interview with Access Hollywood.
Hudgens and Tucker got married in Tulum, Mexico, in December 2023. In an interview with Vogue, she noted that writing and reading her vows was the most beautiful thing ever in a relationship, adding, "to be that open and vulnerable and raw in front of all of the people you love proclaiming your love. It's just beautiful. I loved it."
