Justin Timberlake faced hot water after police arrested him on June 18 for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York - and his business ventures are also worrying him.

Throughout his career, Timberlake has encountered various controversies over the years with the recent one ended him being detained for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons.

During the early hours, Timberlake was seen at the American Hotel on Main Street with several companions. He left shortly after midnight. This hotel, just a short stroll from the nearby police station, offers accommodations that can cost as much as $625 per night. Sources revealed that the "Cry Me A River" singer told authorities he had consumed only a single martini and declined a breathalyzer test. Witnesses noted a glazed look in his eyes and a noticeable alcohol scent.

An insider revealed to Page Six, "His friends were telling the police, 'Let him go, let him go.'"

The police who pulled him over was reportedly "so young that he didn't even know" who the NSYNC member was.

They went on to say, "He didn't recognize him or his name." "This is going to ruin the tour," the singer told the police, to which the cop responded, "What tour?"

Aside from the recent driving while intoxicated controversy which involved alcohol, his involvement in alcohol businesses has also become troublesome.

Timberlake collaborated with Sauza Tequila to launch Sauza 901 Silver Tequila.

According to a source who spoke to In Touch, "Timberlake's 901 Tequila brand has always been a niche player and never really took off nationally like George Clooney and Rande Gerber's Casamigos," who got a nine-figure deal.

The official tequila endorsed by Jessica Biel's husband is mainly online and rarely seen in shops or bars. Timberlake's liquor business didn't achieve the financial success he hoped for. Despite potential for a revival, the tequila remains overshadowed by other celebrity-backed brands.

In 2021, the "SexyBack" singer also invested in a Nashville bar. Reports suggest it also faces challenges like his tequila label. His pals criticized the Twelve Thirty Club, saying "it's become a tacky tourist/fan trap instead of the cool, franchise-able concept Timberlake envisioned."

They added, "It's not a concept or a brand that can travel, and it only appeals to people who are super hardcore Justin Timberlake fans."

Timberlake is reportedly due for a court appearance on July 26, though his presence isn't required. His driving privileges in New York will be revoked, according to reports.
