Sean "Diddy" Combs sparks speculation about leaving the country amid a criminal investigation.
The rapper, 54, appeared in a short clip on his Instagram stories, arriving at an airport tarmac at sunset.
Combs shared a glimpse of his evening arrival on an airport tarmac in a brief clip uploaded to his Instagram stories on Friday, uncaring if this post will garner him attention again while his legal predicament is still ongoing.
Capturing the moment with his phone camera, he casually walked toward a sleek, black jet and greeted the pilot with a fist bump beside the stairs.
"How you doing?" Diddy asked, then angled the camera down to reveal a mat at the base of the stairs with the inscription "Combs Air."
Stepping into the luxurious plane, he remarked, "No place like home," as the clip concluded.
It's unclear whether the Bad Boy Records executive was heading out of the country or traveling domestically.
This Instagram return came weeks after he wiped clean his entire page, including the removal of a Cassie apology video shared in May, amidst his legal troubles.
Sources close to Diddy explained to TMZ that the move to clear his page was not strategic or intended as a dig at his ex, Cassie.
It was simply a spontaneous decision to "reset" his posts, something he has done in the past.
Last week, federal authorities in the Southern District of New York informed his legal team that he is under investigation, according to sources familiar with his ongoing legal issues.
These sources also confirmed that a federal grand jury is currently reviewing evidence related to the investigation, although there is no immediate indication of pending charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office declined to provide a comment, and requests for comment from Combs' lawyers went unanswered.
In legal terms, being a subject of an investigation means that someone is within the scope of criminal inquiry. Prosecutors typically designate individuals as targets when they intend to seek an indictment from the grand jury.
Sources clarified that Combs has not yet received a target letter, and it's not mandatory for the Southern District of New York to issue one during this stage of the investigation.
This development follows a series of events, including the raids on Combs' residences in Los Angeles and Miami by law enforcement officials three months ago.
Since the "Can't Hold Me Down" rapper has not been formally charged, he is not facing any travel restrictions. He's not a flight risk...yet.
