Chappell Roan might be one of the most prominent artists' today following the success of her song "Good Luck, Babe" and her festival appearances. Still, before she entered the world of mainstream music, the musician used to do backing vocals for Olivia Rodrigo.

Over the past few days, fans took to social media to share their observations on the pop star's music, and they realized that some of the tracks from her latest album, Guts, contain backing vocals that sounded like Roan's

Fans shouldn't take a deep dive anymore, as Rodrigo has already confirmed it in the past, as well as the "My Kink Is Karma" hitmaker.

Speaking to Capital Buzz earlier this year, the Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess singer confirmed that she provided additional vocals to songs like "Lacy" and "Obsessed" from her latest album. In addition, she was a backup singer for "Can't Catch Me Now," one of the songs from the film The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

"We all work out of the same studio, and Dan [Nigro] is like 'Are you free right now, can you come help?'" she recalled, adding that she went to their studio and sang harmonies because it's nice to hear different tones in a song.

"I love that [Olivia's] open to having another vocalist; she's so sweet to me," she said.

Roan also revealed that she sang backing vocals for the song "Bad Idea Right?" but never made it to the final cut.

Aside from working in the studio and behind the scenes, Rodrigo and Roan also worked on the former's tour as the "Casual" songstress opened for the pop star's Guts World Tour in the United States.

"I've only played my first headline show last May, and to go from 200 people to 20,000 in less than two years is very intense and fast," Roan told Triple J Radio after Rodrigo asked her to be her opening act again.

Just last year, she told Line of Best Fit that she works as a teacher at a summer camp.

"It's so easy to feel that this is your whole world and there's nothing going on outside, but working at a summer camp where I just help with the dishes. It's just so grounded," she said in 2023.

Today, Chappell Roan is one of the most in-demand artists, especially at festivals. Her rise to fame happened in a span of months.
