Ozzy Osbourne sparked further concerns as his health has reportedly taken a turn for the worse.
The Prince of Darkness, 75, has been battling health issues over the years. After his canceled appearance at the Mad Monster Party, sources revealed to In Touch what reportedly kept him away from the gig.
"It's such a short trip on a private jet for them to get from L.A. to Phoenix for the event, so it's a terrible sign that he can't even make that," the insider said, noting that Sharon Osbourne wants to protect her husband.
One source also spoke about Ozzy's battle with Parkinson's and that he reached the end stages of the dreaded condition.
The Black Sabbath rocker was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2003. Aside from the condition, he has also dealt with different issues, including his spine's dislodged metal rods that led him to undergo his fourth spinal surgery in September 2023.
"It's a progressive disease. Ozzy is doing everything he can to fight it and getting all the best treatments, but there is no cure," one said. "He's put up a tremendous fight for decades, but he's ready to give up. Sharon's trying to rebuild his will to go on, but people around them are beginning to brace for the worst."
Due to these, Ozzy reportedly started confining himself to his bed and a wheelchair.
In 2018, he was forced to cancel his tour due to a staph infection. Amid his health battles, Ozzy has continuously attempted to mark his return to the stage - though he has always failed to do so.
"I'm not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy. What's the fucking point in that? I'm not going up there in a f------ wheelchair," he told Rolling Stone UK in 2023. He also revealed at the time he might only have 10 years to live.
His bandmate, Geezer Butler, told Jonathan Clarke of "Out Of The Box" on Q104.3 that Ozzy desperately wanted to play music again and hold his final show.
But in March, Sharon told the other housemates on Celebrity Big Brother that her husband started to complain amid his health setbacks. She also revealed the status of Ozzy's touring career in her interviews.
The talk show host said, "He won't tour again, but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like 'I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly.' His voice is still absolutely perfect. And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons, so his voice is perfect. And he can joke yeah."
