Jennifer Garner has been described as displaying protective maternal instincts towards her former husband, Ben Affleck, that she is now feeling relieved that his marriage to Jennifer Lopez is coming to an end.
A tipster told Life & Style magazine that the Alias actress actively supports her 51-year-old ex-husband as he steers life post-divorce.
Garner is reportedly glad she won't have to deal with the alleged annoying company of Hustlers actress.
They told the magazine, "Garner was extremely tolerant and always found a way to bite her tongue and be cordial to Lopez whenever they were in the same room."
"But truth be told they're like oil and water, you couldn't find two people more different," they added.
Garner consistently supports Affleck and their relationship despite privately harboring doubts about his compatibility with Lopez.
They went on to say, "Like most people, she knew it was only going to end in tears, it was just a matter of when and how. She's trying to be diplomatic about it, she doesn't want anyone, least of all the kids, to be aware that there's any lingering bad blood between her and Lopez."
