An insider disclosed to Entertainment Tonight that the high-profile couple, rumored to be facing marriage challenges, is prioritizing their kids' well-being while plotting their next steps.

Currently, Lopez and Affleck are taking time apart, but the source said that both are consciously prioritizing their families.

Since tying the knot in 2022, the couple has remained dedicated to keeping their children and extended family members as their main focus during this transition period.

The source told the outlet, "They're trying to present themselves in a positive way for their kids."

Lopez and Affleck are also reportedly making a conscious effort to maintain a positive relationship while crossing their individual paths toward their unknown future.

Another insider revealed that recently, they have been focused on pursuing their own interests and leading separate lives. There is also no animosity between them; they are simply grappling with tough circumstances.

Lopez and Affleck are now rumored to be on the brink of divorce just two years into their marriage.

As of writing, there has been no official statement from the couple addressing the swirling divorce speculations. Their absence together on the Fourth of July was noticeable, with the Argo actor seen in Los Angeles while Lopez was spotted in the Hamptons.

In a recent sighting on July 15, 2024, in Southampton, New York, Lopez and Affleck's daughter, Violet, 18, were seen bonding with their arms wrapped around each other.

Numerous reports suggest that Affleck is turning to his former wife, Jennifer Garner, for support during a challenging time.

Affleck and Garner share three children and reside in proximity to each other.

Despite their divorce, they have managed to sustain a close friendship. Having witnessed Affleck's struggles firsthand, the 13 Going on 30 actress is said to be concerned about his well-being and hopes to prevent a relapse into alcohol dependency.

"Matt's [Damon] No. 1 priority right now is keeping Affleck out of trouble," a source revealed to In Touch Weekly regarding Affleck's best friend.

"The last thing anyone wants is for Ben to turn to alcohol again. Matt has straight out told him that relapse is not an option."

The insider went on to say Damon is actively encouraging the Gone Girl actor to maintain a strong connection with Garner as she is a stabilizing presence in Affleck's life.

They also claimed that Garner has always had a positive influence on him and their three children, and Damon is urging Affleck to prioritize his relationship with her and their family.
