Priscilla Presley has initiated a lawsuit alleging that she was the target of financial exploitation, resulting in the theft of $1 million from her.
Her lawyer, Marty Singer, has lodged the legal documents claiming "a woman named Brigitte Kruse, among others, took advantage of Elvis Presley's ex-wife," according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Presley boldly accused Brigitte Kruse, the mastermind behind Kruse GWS Auctions, of trapping her in what she described as a form of "indentured servitude."
She alleged that Kruse manipulated her by "gaining her trust, isolating her from the most important people in her life, and duping her into believing that they would take care of her (personally and financially)."
Kevin Fialko, Vahe Sislyan, Lynn Walker Wright, and Priscilla Presley Partners are listed in the records.
The documents declared that the defendants managed to deceive her into granting them authority over her assets, family trusts, and financial accounts through manipulation and close involvement in Presley affairs.
The filing stated, "They convinced Presley that all of her former advisors were either deceitful or incompetent, and that she was leaving millions of dollars on the table as the result of their mismanagement."
The mom-of-two found herself holding onto mere fragments of ownership in enterprises that bore her name, image, and essence as others reaped the rewards of the companies' fortune.
The legal dispute shed light on the 2023 movie Priscilla, as the co-founder of Elvis Presley Enterprises highlighted it as an example of a project that had been unlawfully exploited.
In her ongoing dispute, Presley blamed her former business partners for sabotaging a potential agreement that would have granted her a stake in a beauty product enterprise. The resolution resulted in a lump sum of $300,000 promptly deposited into accounts under their supervision.
In addition to the legal filing, it was alleged that Kruse and several others took out unauthorized smaller sums from an account designated for Presley's son, Navarone. They were also accused of billing her for relocation and storage costs and trying to negotiate transactions concerning the estate of Lisa Marie Presley following her death in January 2023.
Presley filing a lawsuit comes a year after in response to being sued by Kruse for breach of contract.
Kruse claimed Presley had enlisted her help managing debt repayment in 2022, only to terminate her abruptly in 2023.
Presley made statements echoing those found in the lawsuit filed on Thursday, maintaining that she severed connections with Kruse upon discovering she had been mishandling her finances.
The former wife of the rock'n'roll icon is demanding $1 million in damages.
