Ice Spice Reveals Relatable Reason She Got Into Music: 'I Wanted to Make a Lot of Money'

Ice Spice opened up about her music career as she made her late-night talk show debut last week.

On Friday, Ice Spice appeared on Jimmy Fallon's late-night talk show to talk about her new album "Y2K!" and perform an electrifying medley.

The rapper performed songs from her new album, including "Did It First" and "Think U The S**t (Fart)."

During her interview with Fallon, she expressed her joy over the release of her debut studio album "Y2K!"

Ice Spice explained the album's title and shared that it was inspired by her birth year at the turn of the millennium and symbolized the chaos of that time.

When Fallon asked her how she became interested in pursuing a music career, Ice Spice answered, "Ever since I was a little girl, I just knew I wanted to make a lot of money. I would just sit there and look on Google, like, 'How to become a billionaire.' And music never came up. I think we just ended up here."

Ice Spice also discussed her upcoming "Y2K!" tour, which kicks off later this month. She teased that there would be a "couple" of surprise visitors whom she was not yet allowed to announce.

"You gotta come to the 'Y2K!' tour to find out," she said.

The rapper also talked about working with Taylor Swift, attending the Super Bowl with her, and getting to know pop icon Beyoncé during the sit-down.

After the interview, she performed "Did It First" and "Think U The S**t (Fart)." The latter song had to be censored.

"Did It First" was originally a collaboration with Central Cee, but she still nailed the revenge anthem by herself, rapping in front of eye-catching graphics with the theme of year 2000 projected on the screen behind her.
