As the three of the four members of the Nelons were flying to a performance Friday, tragedy struck when their plane crashed, claiming the lives of all seven people on board the jet.

However, before it happened, the members of the southern gospel family group shared glimpses of their final moments alive via social media.

Amber Nelon Kistler took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her and her family aboard a cozy private aircraft while on their way to the Gaither Homecoming Cruise, where they were scheduled to perform. In the snap, her father Jason Nelon Clark could be seen gazing thoughtfully out the window as her mother Kelly Nelon Clark sat next to him, holding her phone.

Kelly later re-shared the photo on her account, adding a plane sticker and tagging West Georgia Regional Airport as the location.

Aside from the repost, Kelly also shared a message with a haunting prayer wishing for a safe journey in what would be the heartbreaking final words of the woman who perished alongside her spouse and child.

"Up for an early flight to Seattle. Pray for a good smooth flight and no storms. Then pray a great Gaither Alaskan Cruise. Will we see you?" Kelly wrote on Facebook.

Giving fans a glimpse of their flight preparations with two photos from inside the plane, she captioned the images: "Wheels up! Seattle here we come!"

At approximately 1 p.m. Friday, the Nelons' plane crashed over Wyoming and burst into flames, prompting the Campbell County Fire Department to dispatch firefighters to the location.

Jason, Kelly, and Amber died along with Amber's husband Nathan Kistler and three other companions, including the pilot Larry Haynie.

It was later revealed that fourth Nelons member Autumn Nelon Streetman and her husband, Jamie Streetman, had just reached Seattle, Washington, the departure point for their scheduled cruise, when they received the devastating news.

An inquiry is underway to determine the reason behind the airplane accident. The passengers were onboard a Pilatus PC-12/47E single-engine turboprop aircraft when it went down in an isolated area, as reported by the National Transportation Safety Board to the Associated Press.

Officials confirmed that the fire was confined to less than 1 square mile.
