One Direction member Liam Payne has reportedly decided to halt the production of a tell-all documentary amid his health issues over the past year.
Payne had been contemplating producing a documentary about his life, including his experience with One Direction and addiction struggles, The Sun reported. Movie and production companies reportedly showed interest in the tell-all.
However, the outlet reported that the project has been shelved due to Payne's health concerns and plans to focus on his music career.
"This time last year, Liam was all fired up about his comeback and teasing new music, but then his health deteriorated," an unnamed insider told The Sun.
They added, "He has hours and hours of footage, and there was interest from various production companies, but in the end, he decided not to take things further."
Last year, Payne had been admitted to the hospital twice, including once for a severe kidney infection in August 2023.
He suffered kidney problems once more weeks later during his vacation in Italy alongside his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.
Reports indicated that Payne's condition was quite serious, requiring urgent medical attention during his brief hospital stay.
Later on, Cassidy shared that the singer's health had significantly improved, leading to his discharge after one week.
The insider also gushed about Payne's improved well-being and dedication to self-care after his recent hospitalizations.
While there is no official comeback date for Payne yet, he reportedly hopes to drop new music in the upcoming months, the source claimed.
Payne's latest song, "Teardrops," debuted in March. This release came after a music hiatus of three years since the release of his previous track, "Sunshine," in 2021.
