As previously reported by Music Times, Conan O'Brien decided to dedicate a week of shows to the late George Harrison in order to celebrate the reissue of the former Beatle's first six solo albums. Well, the TBS show kicked it off last night with a musical performance from Beck.
The musician took to the CONAN stage to perform Harrison's beloved "Wah Wah" off his 1970 album All Things Must Pass.
Beck, who just released his twelfth studio album Morning Phase this past Feb. 2014, initiated the tribute rather swimmingly, leaving us only more excited for what's to come during the rest of this week.
Check out Beck's performance of "Wah Wah" below:
Following his performance, O'Brien treated the musician with a kind "I swear to God, thank you so much. That was fantastic!"
Earlier on in the day, Beck promoted the appearance on Twitter, posting the below alongside the Team Coco and The Beatles twitter pages.
It's been reported that other guests included in this week's event will include Paul Simon, Norah Jones and Harrison's son Dhani Harrison.
Yesterday not only marked the kick-off of George Harrison Week but also the drop of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75 on both CD and digital download. Watch a "trailer" for the box set:
So, who are you most excited to see perform this week? And what tunes are you hoping are on the list?
