Aaron Carter Admits He Needs to 'Shut Up' About His Love for Hilary Duff

A few months ago, former teen star Aaron Carter made headlines when he professed his undying love for singer/actress Hilary Duff, whom he dated more than 11 years ago. But now, after Duff publicly rebuked Carter’s comments in an interview with Buzzfeed, Carter admits in an interview with Contact Music that he needs to "shut up" about Duff.

"If I'm too open about how I feel, then people wanna nag and pick and poke at me," Carter said. "I don't know Hilary, either. She don't know me and I don't know her. I just need to shut up now about it. I think it's time …"

Carter went on to add, "She's got a kid and she's married and I'm not trying to be that dude. That's not my intention. Hilary will always hold a very special place in my heart."
