ROSÉ's solo debut album Rosie has sparked speculation from fans dying to know who she's talking about in the track "Toxic Till the End."
The singer, who has been promoting the project, gave candid interviews about her fights with the ex and has made jokes about the "worst" period of her life, piquing fans' curiosity.
The track's music video, featuring model Evan Mock, only added to the mystique behind the mystery man.
Fans made guesses at who the ex could be. Some connected the singer to Jaden Smith, recalling the singer's skateboarding phase and the two's mutual interest in the hobby.
Sharing a post from 2021, one X user noted that the two no longer followed each other on Instagram and that Smith had deleted all his previously posted photos of BLACKPINK.
More evidence, they added, of the two's "relationship" could be found in Jaden's song "Still In Love," where the lyrics "Rosé, a bucket of ice," are inferred to be about the "APT." singer.
While the argument may lack heft, depending on who you ask, others were eager to chime in their two cents on who the former lover could be.
Another suspected candidate is Jason Choi, yet another skateboarder, this time a skateboard teacher, who teaches at various skate shops.
Some have gone as far as to tack on Bruno Mars, fellow artist and collaborator, who featured on the singer's record-smashing hit "APT." as the potential object of her affection.
Choi addressed the speculations in a series of Instagram stories, claiming that he has no affiliation with Rosé's ex-boyfriend, though he is a fan, and asked for the hate comments to stop.
ROSÉ's Rosie, released Friday, is available now on all streaming platforms.
