Texas rapper 2 Low went viral after a gun discharged in his pocket during a live recording of a podcast interview for 1 on 1 With Mike D.

About 47 minutes into the podcast, 2 Low accidentally fired the weapon while reaching into his pocket, shocking the crew and viewers alike.

Reactions filled the room as the gun went off, with someone behind the camera exclaiming, "Ah, what the f—k!" Host Mike D, keeping his composure, looked around and joked, "Who shot who? Somebody got shot?"

2 Low, visibly uneasy, briefly pulled part of the gun from his pocket before quickly tucking it back in. The interview resumed shortly after, with Mike D calling it a POP moment, saying he and 2 Low "just made history."

No one was injured, but the incident ignited heated discussions online. While some thought the moment was hilarious, critics called out the rapper's negligence.

One user commented, "Irresponsible gun ownership. Why on earth would it be in your pocket like that?" Others shared graver insights, like one medical worker who noted the alarming frequency of gun-related injuries in similar circumstances, "So I code trauma records and I get a lot of young men with ballistics injuries/[gunshot wounds] to the groin."

Another user posted, "If you don't know how the safety works, you probably shouldn't own one."

This unexpected moment overshadowed the podcast's intended focus on 2 Low's career journey. The rapper, known for his early success with Rap-A-Lot Records and his iconic verse on the Ghetto Boys' hit "Bring It On," had planned to discuss his return to music after a turbulent legal battle with label owner J. Prince.

Accidental discharges accounted for 549 firearm deaths in 2021, according to Pew Research Center.
