Justin Bieber has gotten himself into just a little bit of trouble now, but luckily it has nothing to do with the police or drugs or neighbors or even Selena Gomez. The little bit of trouble is actually an injury. The "Confident" singer has busted his ear drum, presumably following a cliff diving accident.
Yesterday (Sept. 24), Bieber announced his newly injured situation and the fact that it "sucks" on Twitter.
"Busted my ear drum cliff diving. Doc says might need surgery now. Sucks," he wrote.
Despite the ear injury, which Web MD states can take up to three months to heal even with surgery, Bieber has assured fans that his ruptured eardrum will not delay the release of some new music.
He even promised some upcoming exclusives for his fan club at Fahlo.
Bieber has long been rumored to be releasing new music during the last quarter of 2014.
He teased new music via Instagram in July, releasing 11 snippets of what sounding like brand new music.
Bieber also confirmed that he will be releasing a duets album with Aussie pop star (and fellow Scooter Braun client) Cody Simpson. Specific details surrounding the Bieber/Simpson duet are currently scarce, but it seems as though it will heavily feature acoustic music and guitars.
"Justin has been a good mate of mine for a while. It's just us writing. He told me he felt like I'd figured myself out and have grown into what he knows I will be so he was like, 'I see you as that guitarist, singer-songwriter you've always wanted to be.' I play all the guitars on the album," Simpson said about the November release.
Bieber's last album, Journals, was released in December 2013.
