It seemed as though the next big relationship news between Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks would be an engagement, but the exact opposite has happened. According to new reports, the famous, longterm couple has called it quits.
E! News is reporting that multiple sources have confirmed that Derulo and Sparks have broken up after over two years of dating.
No official reason has been revealed for the split, but sources are stating that their break up was mutual and they leave things on both good terms and as good friends.
Neither Derulo nor Sparks have made any waves about the news on social media. Actually, as of publication time, Sparks' Twitter header image is of her and Derulo performing together on stage, with her rocking a big old smile.
It seemed as though the famous R&B couple were heading down the path to marriage, with engagement rumors swirling around them for years. Derulo even penned the single "Marry Me" about his intentions with Sparks. The couple co-starred in the music video, which eventually features the "Wiggle" singer down on one bended knee.
Derulo and Sparks officially confirmed their relationship in January 2012 but were first linked together in September 2011. They have been mainstays at red carpet events, snuggling and hugging on the red carpet. They notably appeared together at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, wearing matching white outfits.
