When UMG threw a party at Nashville's The Sutler for Dierks Bentley to celebrate "Drunk on a Plane" going to #1, they did it in style. The singer and members of the UMG team all wore fake mustaches and pilot hats to truly celebrate the moment. The video for the song finds Dierks sporting a mustache and piloting a plane that turns into a party at 30,000 feet after getting dumped at the altar so seeing him with a Magnum PI mustache at the party wasn't too shocking. (Flashback to the CMT Awards earlier this year and you'll remember seeing him dressed up, ready to fly the friendly skies there too! He looks so much better without it, maybe it's time to retire the 'stach.)
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay from the Funny or Die website were the creative force behind the video and its appearance on their site was the first time a country music video has graced it. Nominated for a CMA Award for Music Video of the Year and Single of the Year, come November 6, fans will find out if the tune will go higher than the sky all the way to the top.
