Suge Knight Shooting: Police Can't Make Arrest Due To Uncooperative Witness

The police know who shot Suge Knight and two others at Chris Brown's nightclub party in August, but they can't make an arrest due to an uncooperative witness.

TMZ reports law enforcement officials have "reviewed security cameras and spoken to multiple witnesses of the August shooting at 1Oak, and while they're confident they've identified the suspect responsible for shooting Suge and 2 others - they still don't have enough evidence to arrest the suspect."

As previously reported, Knight was shot in the stomach and arm around 1:30 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 24) at West Hollywood nightclub 1Oak.

Tyson Beckford, Richard Ri'chard, and Apple de Ap said they heard four shots ring out inside the club during the party.

Knight was taken to a nearby hospital where he underwent surgery and is recovering after a stint in the ICU.

Knight wasn't the only shooting victim. The Los Angeles Times noted that a 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were also wounded and taken to the hospital to recover.

The news outlet also pointed out that this is the second time Knight has been shot at a VMA-related party. Back in 2005, he was shot in the leg at a party hosted by Kanye West.

Knight's family asked for support in a written statement after the shooting:

"The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he's human. He's done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that."
