Two days after Waka Flocka Flame was busted for bringing a loaded gun through a Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport security check point his other half, Tammy Rivera is trying to clear up confusion surrounding what she has called, "the craziest day ever." The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star explained in a quick interview that the gun actually belonged to her and Waka had it because he grabbed the wrong backpack before attempting to board that flight to Dallas.
Rivera claims that the couple has identical MCM backpacks and that while in the process of moving she put her loaded hand gun into her backpack to keep it out of reach of her young daughter. She claims that Waka grabbed the wrong bag and didn't fully empty it out so when he walked out the door he was carrying his wife's headphones and hand gun—which is registered and Rivera is licensed to carry. Waka was charged with carrying a weapon In a prohibited place and was briefly booked into Clayton County Jail before making bail.
The biggest problem in the entire situation is the fact that Waka is currently on probation and he is not allowed to have firearms of any kind in his possession, making this charge a direct violation of his terms of probation. This is also the second time within about a month that a situation with a firearm got the rapper into trouble. In early September, Rivera also posted a photo on Instagram showing Waka holding a gun and at that point in time it was widely rumored that the Feds were investigating him.
Do you think that Waka and his wifey will return for another season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and that all of these little bits of drama will actually give them more of a story line on the show? Tell us your thoughts on Waka's latest brush with the law in the comments below!
