Wiz Khalifa hit the stage Saturday night for the Kennesaw State University homecoming concert. But prior to his performance, Khalifa became an honorary Owl and received one of the school's jersey. The performance comes just after a cancelled Michigan State show.
According to GA Followers, Khalifa stopped by the KSU media room for photos and was greeted by the school's mascot and football representatives. The Blacc Hollywood rapper was presented with his own KSU football jersey.
When asked if he still had some eligibility left, Wiz, known for his marijuana usage said, "Yeah, but I don't think I would pass the drug tests."
In August, Michigan State University announced the cancellation of a Wiz Khalifa concert due to a deadly shooting backstage at a stop for his Under The Influence tour. Wiz was scheduled to perform Sept. 13 at the Breslin Student Events Center. News of the cancelled concert came after a "review of recent events and assessment of campus concerns."
"Members of several MSU groups got together and reviewed the recent incidents at the previous concert and came to the decision we were going to cancel it and offer full refunds," MSU media relations manager Jason Cody said. "Really, what it came down to was the safety and security of the visitors that were going to attend the concert."
As previously reported, a man was shot and killed backstage during a stop on Wiz Khalifa's Under The Influence tour in Mountain View, CA.
Rapper Jeezy was arrested for possession of an assault rifle. TMZ reported the weapon turned up during an investigation into the deadly shooting that occurred backstage.
