The National Talk Smack on Arcade Fire in 'Comedy Bang! Bang!' Video [WATCH]

IFC's Comedy Bang! Bang! kicks off a new season Friday, Oct. 17, and the show shared a preview clip recently of an upcoming episode. The Brooklyn-based band The National will be featured this season, and the band members show up in a hilarious sketch about helping out schools in need and making fun of Arcade Fire, Consequence of Sound notes.

In the clip, Scott Aukerman says he is working on a makeover show called Retool the School. The host then goes to a high school struggling from budget cuts to help fix up its music room. After the rats are taken care of and the room is painted, Aukerman reveals the new room, equipped with new instruments, to students and the principal.

The last surprise comes when The National are unveiled as the school's new music teachers.

"We're so excited about teaching these kids," frontman Matt Berninger says. The rest of the band chimes in about how important music education is for the entire country.

When Aukerman goes to collect money for the project, the principal becomes frazzled after the miscommunication. The bill includes $300,000 for The National, which the school official says he will not pay.

"Who do you think you're dealing with here? Those p-----s in Arcade Fire? The National get their check," Berninger says.

More hilarity follows. Head over to the show's website to watch.

Other musical guests for this season of Comedy Bang! Bang! include Future Islands, The Flaming Lips and "Weird Al" Yankovic.

The National have three dates overseas left for 2014. Last year's documentary by Berninger's brother, Tom, which chronicles his time as a roadie for the band, Mistaken Strangers, premiered earlier this month on Showtime. The network will run the doc for the rest of October.
